Procure an OEM harness.

I'm running the stock harness on my 2000 with OEM efans and it runs perfect. And looks stock too.

I have one but the fan ends are busted.

I am going to modify it right now using the how too. If it works I will get replacement ends.

I was just informed the 99-00 operating systems don't function correctly for E fan swaps. I was told to do a full Flash to a 2002 operating system and enable the fan settings.

So far this has worked. The fans don't run after I turn the engine on.

I need to copy all my tables for the engine swap over before I let it run too long. Also Need to Verify the correct VIN is still present.

 

So how do you go about swapping to the 2002 system?

 

Take an 02 operating system. Add your VIN number.

Change Fan settings.

Change anything else that was modified in your last operating system.

Do a full flash.

 

Where do you get an 02 operating system?

 

Damn It!!!

The Trigger wire connection wasn't seated all the way to the fan harness when I went to test the new operating system. Now I have to let it cool down. Before I can check it again.

 

If its EFI live and you have a V1 or V2 I can try posting it or I can send you a stock one for a 5.3L

They have a 4.8 and an 8.1 on tune file depot for 2002 operating system.

If you using an Auto cal your tuner will need to change it for you and send you the update to use with your device.

 

It does in fact work correctly with a 2002 operating system flashed into the 99 PCM.
