Default Hypertech III or Mopar ECU or Jetchip???

I'm looking to add one of these 3 controllers onto my truck. I do use the truck to tow my boat and am wondering which of the three would be best for both towing and the track.

I've got the superchips tuner on my 01 R/T. I love it. Tuneable for towing, performance w/ 87 or 91 octane tuning as well.

From my experience, stay away from JET, they SUCK. I've had Hypertech's before and they are OK, no experience with Mopar. I can say that the Superchips I have for my 04 Hemi Ram is much better than the Hypertech I had was, night and day difference.

Hey man i say you get that exhaust done first- Im taking mine down on friday to get mine done- i think im gonna go 2.75" or 3" so you should do the same- and stick with what other people w/ experience have said- I say go superchips like he said also put a 180t-stat in there if possible-

On superchips website- they say-

18.7 whp &
30.2 wft. lbs

Superchips gets my thumbs up.

I have seen the jet chip show a loss of hp on a dyno with my own eyes.

Superchips isnt avalibe for my 97' so at first I went with the Hypertech and just reciently bought a Mopar Perfomance ECU! The ECU is the better of the two. I should have bought it a long time ago!

Same here. My 01 R/T had a Jet Chip when i bought it. When and spent some time on a dyno and found the jet chip gave an extra 1hp but lost 14 ft/lbs.

I would get the Mopar pcm I like it much better than the other two choices.Next I would go headers/exhaust and M-1 to really wake up the motor.

Mopar would be my first choice then either Hypertech or Superchips. Don't even look at the Jetchip.

Default Go With the Mopar ECU

Go with the Mopar ECU......it's a whole mile above the Hypertech. If I were going to buy a handheld unit......the Superchips is the better unit.
