Default edelbrock pro-flo tuning

alright, my roomie has a 72 gmc pickup with a vortech block, vortech heads, stroked to 383, moderate cam, speed density. a couple issues. one, when he shifts into drive, or reverse, the motor bogs a bit, almost dies. actually, sometimes it does die. it's a TH350, so no electronic controls, and i'm trying to figure out what has to be done to the idle tables, spark advance, fueling, etc, that will avoid this little stumble. other than that it runs pretty well, i'm trying to get him to install a wideband so we can check afr. any ideas, base settings that someone else has used, or something that can help this issue?

if you post this in the gm section you may get some more help. in the meantime if you look at moates.net you can get some help along with the software and hardware you need to tune this system.
