Default SOLD 2002 S-10 5.3L Swap done right!!!!

I bought this truck back in 4-16-07 as a totally untouched factory LS S-10 with 46K on it that was owned by an older man. The truck was in great shape and I paid 12K plus TTL for it. Since then I have invested way more than original purchase price in it and well over a thousand hours. We added it up last night and I know I missed some stuff and we were over 26K easy without factoring any labor time.

Truck currently has 92,800 on the body, frame , and interior

Engine, transmission, and rear axle have 21K

Exhaust, Suspension, and charging system have just under 3K on it.

We don't have to sell this truck as it has been paid for since we bought it. I'm not hurting for cash so I'm not going to give it away. I do however need to make room as we are getting a newer car for my fiancé to drive and I can't move forward with my 32 ford truck until I get some more room. We lost the shop 18 months ago when her father got sick. The truck has been driven mainly by my fiancé to and from college (avg 9,500 a year) she is very very picky like me about where it was parked and using a sun shade to keep the interior in tip top shape. Many people have seen this truck and I have had lots of help from friends and it really kills me to write this, but we must pass on this little pavement rocket to someone that will enjoy it and take care of it.

-Final tune tweaking with NGK AFX wideband for new injectors and the new exhaust)

I'm sure I have missed a ton of stuff on the above list.

The truck ran a 13.6 @ 101.XX with a 2.3 60' with the injectors at 109% and on street tires with the pre converter and exhaust tune. It has been on the track just a few times as I don't like beating on it.

The truck has no kitties! passes inspection because the CEL is not on. All factory original options works (AC/Heat, Cruise control, yada yada)

Truck is washed the right way once or twice a week with poor boys and adams products.

Truck is also glazed, sealed, and hand waxed twice a year. The wheels are also polished and sealed twice a year. The wheels are pulled and I also detail the underside of the truck... Yes I'm that bad!

Engine oil has been changed at 3K or every 90 days which ever comes first with only mobile 1 filters and oil.

Trans and diff have been serviced every 10K

Brake fluid has been changed every 20-30K or when I feel it needed it.

Interior is a solid 9.5 out of 10. No cracks, rips, tears, smells, or stains.

Truck has been in a garage since we have owned it or has had covered parking.

Most that know me will tell you I'm extremely ****-retentive.. This is true, but I'm also 100% honest..

The Bad:

-The roof has very very light hails dings. The truck had these when we got it and I have a buddy that owns a PDR company, but I haven't found a day to go sit and watch them fix it... Yes I'm that bad where I will watch their every move... the alignment and tire guys hate me LMAO.

-The bed rails have a few dings, but remember its an S10 and even brand new GM sheet metal have waves in it on these trucks.

-Their is one scratch on the bed rail that is deeper than the clear. A good touch up guy can fix this.

-The bed had a hard liner in it from the first owner and scratched the bed up... the bedrug however covers all of it.

-There are no door dings that I know of, but this truck will under go a full detail before it is sold and I will report if I find one... god I hope I don't because I might blow a gasket!

- 2 years ago Ash hit a poll... not bad just dinged the bumper, scratched the air dam, and cracked the grille. I went to Huffines Chevrolet and bought all new GM parts (Bumper, grille, and air dam) and even upgraded to the Extreme Grille. Other than that there has been zero accidents that I know of.

- On the dash bezel there is a spot where velcro was for the passport radar detector and it made the dash paint flat colored... A trim guy can fix this easily.

I'm at work and this computer doesn't allow me access to photobucket. I will update it tonight with pics... I will also add pics after I fully detail the truck.

Economy:

-Driving it sprited in the city I get 17.5-18 MPG
-Easy city driving 18-19 MPG
-Highway under 70mph 25-26 MPG
-highway above 70 hauling 1,000 lbs. got 24MPG

Please DO NOT lowball me as that is a pure insult. As you can see I have a ton of $$$ and time into it. I'm a bit flexible on the price, but not a lot.

I just added up the parts from the last go around of mods (3K miles ago) and it is over $6,000. If you were to buy a truck in this condition and build it yourself like I did you will be over the 20K mark and if you used the exact same parts you will be pushing upper 20K pretty easily.

Price is at $13,500.00. No joy rides or tire kickers. Serious people only. I'm not a bank, I won't take payments. Cash, or certified bank funds only!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

PM for contact info. I'm located in Wylie TX. The truck will also be out at Crandall on a trailer for people that would like to view it on this Saturday at the PT.net and LS1 tech track meet. This I still pending if it rains it will not be out in the weather. No it will not be going down the track.

Only pic I can post now from photobucket mobile

Have a blessed day!!!

Thanks

Dan

I'll vouch for everything he stated about this truck it's clean and the swap looks factory. Someone is gonna get a nice little sleeper when they buy this.

Ps when he says he's **** about his projects he's telling the truth. When he worked on my truck something didn't look right so he spent 30 minutes fixing it to make look right and I can't even remember what it was.

it was a few wires if I remeber correctly... ask 2BFAST about me and wires LMAO... Took me 10 hours to relocate and reloom some wiring on his...

Also thanks for the kind words... This decision was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make about any car/truck.

Wow good price for this little gem. I cant believe your selling it with all the time you got i to it talk about a loss. I remember following this build thread on sss.com and the attention to detail you put in this thing was ridiculous. Good luck with the sale i wish my s10 had a 5.3 in it not only would it have twice as much power but the gas mileage would be better then the v6 in it now.

Thanks Jon! Yes it hurts to let it go, but I have a lot to do on the 32 and no room to do it since we don't have the shop anymore.

This is the nicest swap in a s10 I have seen with out getting in to a ton of cash. Dan Is "attention to detail". Good luck with the sale man, I would love to have her. Turbo and a built 4l80....
