Xbox players come in

Ok, so I am finally entering the modern world of gaming. For being 22 I'm usually behind in the technological world.
I'm finally going to buy an Xbox. I already have Call of Duty, I know there is a new one coming out. I'll be getting Xbox live and playing a few games here and there and using it for dvds. I don't need anything fancy. I was just looking around at the different consoles. I see there are three different models? Pro, Arcade, and Elite. Just wondering what you all thought about the choice between the three. Btw, I'll be on Xbox live as the same name as here. Thanks guys!!

If you think you'll be downloading a lot of stuff and using it for music and other things, then get the elite. If your just going to be using it, get a regular one. The difference in hard drive storage isn't worth the price. I bought an elite thinking I'm going to have a ton of space on it and blah blah blah... haven't used it for **** honestly. I think they come with like... 20 gb of storage standard, that should be enough for anyone using it for regular gaming. I'd also suggest getting a store warranty with it. Mine got the red rings of death (google search it if your unfamiliar) and I had to send it out to Microsoft to get fixed. If it happens within the store warranty period, just bring it in and get a new one. Mine was gone almost 3 weeks, I felt like I was on court order to a rehab clinic for that time period lol, it sucked. Also, depending on your internet connection and how good your setup is in your house, you may want to go for the wireless internet adaptor. Some people say they suck I think, but I end up hosting matches 9 times out of 10 on Call of Duty 4 MW2... the person with the best connection typically hosts. Your also going to probably want to upgrade your batteries to the rechargable ones, it'll save you money long time without a doubt....
Trying to think of anything else...
Bah, that's all I got for now, it's almost 1:30 am and I gotta get some sleep. My gamertag is Sprngfldxd45.
Oh yeah, buy fallout 3 also... you might be able to find it used too. Don't question it, just do it. Once you get used to the game controls it's freakin amazing.

Get the Elite bundle package that is out right now. It comes with Forza 3 & Halo ODST and has the 120 hard drive. With the bigger HD you can load the games directly to the HD and the xbox will run alot quieter, plus you can download a bunch of other stuff if you want. The bigger hard drives are expensive if you want to upgrade later on. And you will want a headset if you play on Live alot.
Been playing some Red Dead Redemption the past couple days, fun game!
Gamertag is: No Catchy

Neil, we need to get a posse going on Red Dead. I haven't been online with the game yet, my wife has had the internet tied up the last few days doing side architectural work.
I've got an Elite, but only because my best man/best friend bought it for my wedding gift, my old 360 crapped out about a month before the wedding and we were paying for everything ourselves so I couldn't justify buying another one before the wedding. LOL. Wife might have killed me. I've used up about 45 gb of storage, and I really don't think I store that much crap on there, no music, haven't stored any games, really just game saves, demos and some downloaded content.

So far it's 50/50 on Elite vs the regular system. hmm I still have a couple weeks before I move to think about it.
BTW Scott I have never listened to your exhaust clip until now. You don't have a cam in that do you.
sounds good!
