WTF is wrong with these idiots in washington (gun control)

Or do they mean that if I have my gun on me, then the elected official has to leave?

I don't know why they think it's going to make them safer. I guess they look at it like this. Their security can't stop someone from shooting them because there are so many people around them carrying guns. the security doesn't know which of those people might shoot. So best to make them all leave their guns at home so that only the bad guy has the gun and thus letting security know which person to stop.
Wait wait wait.... Isn't that already how it is?

I can't imagine anything like this ever going through. It is real sad that some people actually think that it could happen, and they believe it would help. I am a firm believer that everyone should have a pistol permit.

Maybe our Congressmen should keep in mind that part of the reasoning behind the 2nd amendment was for the people to have the power to overthrow the government if necessary.

Maybe if they were all doing their jobs instead of trying to setup ridiculously expensive/B.S. regulatory agencies that suck out the life blood of the nation they wouldn't be looking at all of the "armed constituents" around them in public as adversaries, but rather as colleagues or *shudder* friends!
On a side note, a bit of victory here in California, with AB 962 going down for the count.
