What is your actual wrenching/performance modding experience level?

i picked 95%.
I cant do anything with gears (transmissions or differential rebuilds) but I can do anything else. I didn't consider bodywork when voting. I can do minor fabrication, but rarely need to.
I dont have many tools, but thats because I travel/move a lot so i'm pretty light. I'm also pretty broke so I dont need tools as I have no big projects.
I can remove and engine, rebuild an engine and install it.

I picked 100, but probably should have picked 95. I have torn an auto tranny down, but havent put it back together yet, and Im just learning body work. I have done gears before, but will probably get a hand next time. Besides that, I just dont trust others working on my truck unless they are helping me, or Im watching them.
Oh yea, I cant mount and balance tires or do my own alignment eigther

Now that's a different story all together.
I don't understand how some of you guys can rebuild engines, but not a differential? A rearend is 10 times easier IMO.

I picked 90/10. I didn't pick 100 because I have not done my first tranny rebuild...yet but it will happen. I can do gear sets but have not done one on an automobile before. I am a tech and work on sea-doo's and atvs and have done Plenty of differential work on them cause I do have the dial indicators and mics neccesary, and on the sea-doo's they are fuel injected 4 stroke intercooled and supercharged so they are like smaller versions of auto engines. I have rebuilt a few superchargers on them and several motors...It's fun building engines that are meant to run all day long @ 8500rpm's.
I am currently getting ready to build the Wood Hauler's 408 from the crankshaft up and I have done all the work to his truck up to this point, and have always done my own, so I am very confident in my abilities because I do it for a living.

I am 90/10 won't touch a trans at all, I can do everything else though. I quess the family having a oval track car before me helped alot. I think I have been wrenching since I was about 10, when I started racing go karts.

I picked 100...pretty much been involved with cars and the auto industry all my life. ASE master, advanced level engine performance, yada yada yada. One thing that I have learned...you never know everything, and there's always somebody who know's more than you. The best mechanics are the ones that are open minded and always willing to learn

I put 80/20. Mainly because there is still things I pay to have done. I can rebuild engines, transmissions, diff's, transfer cases, do body work and paint, etc. But I do pay for some stuff like driveshaft work, some exhaust work, window tint, etc. Still working on the PCM programming thing also.
I have many tools, and what I dont have my father has (especially body and fender tools). I used to have a blasting cabinet, parts cleaner, shop press, and a few other things, just no room to keep them anymore. Plus you use them so seldomly you are better of just making friends at a shop.

i picked 100. i won't do bodywork, but can. i'm not much into doing glass work (windshields, etc.), but could if needed. with the exception of an air conditioning certification test i'm certified in everything else. i used to do a/c work, but i'm too lazy to do that anymore and don't much care for it. i can rebuild transmissions, engines, rear ends, transaxles, program pcm's, etc. i can't think of anything i can't do if needed on a car/truck.
