On Jan. 9th I paypal'd member "Green Thunder" the payment for a brand new oem fuel pump assembly. To this day I have not yet received anything. He's in California so I figure it would take probably 5 days to ship here to St. Louis. Ok, that week came and went. Who would know, my fuel pump goes out a couple days ago. My truck is sitting on the side of the street broken down and I'm immobilized in my apartment waiting on this f*cking fuel pump. I can't get a PM response except on 1/21 (Wed) he sent "Its already on its way.."
If it was already on its way, it should have been here by now. I'm pissed off and likely have to buy one from napa for $340 when in reality I could have ordered from gmpartsdirect 2 weeks ago, and had it by now for less than $300 (they list it for like $250). All of his feedback on here was positive, most say fast shipping except for the most recent feedback "Fair communication at best, long ship time". This describes my experience to the T. Would you go ahead and file a Paypal claim now or should I honor his word that the pump is indeed on the way due to his history of good transactions based on his feedback?

open a dispute. If I don't get any communication for over 5 days I open a dispute. It isn't a claim at that point, but rather a "Get your **** together" kind of notice for the seller. It doesn't hurt anyone in that situation, but they withdraw the money from his account and hold it in case he tries to do something funny.

I can respect a courtesy email saying "My wife may be going in to labor" or "It's the holidays so forgive the wait," but 99% of the time, people just make up bullshit excuses to hide their laziness or whatever their illegitimate problems may be.

Sorry about your situation, but **** him get your money back. If someone can not communicate w/ you and see the transaction though something is wrong. Pure lazyness! What is so hard about e-mailing tracking numbers when a package is sent. If in fact there is/was a reason it was not shipped promptly you should be notified right away.

well i know one thing, when paypal yanks out the money from his account it will cost him.
i sold some movies on ebay a long time ago, the guy said he did not get it and paypal yanked out the money, also got left some negitive feed back from the sob.
not only did they get the 21.00, i had an extra charge of 32.50 for them to do it.
i proved he got it by sending in a copy of the recipt he had to sign for conformation delivery.
i got my money and still to this day i have yet to get rembursed that 32.50.
that was the day i stoped selling on ebay.
