What would be a cool rig to swap a 5.3 L into?

I think you'll have to extend the frame to do it right. I'm honestly surprised you got the automatic to fit. I'd think you'd have to go manual to try and shorten up the drivetrain length.

I'll read through your thread when I have a bit more time. Looks like a cool build though. I love me some Toyota axles!

The automatic was the easy part.. the S10 LSx swap headers fit perfect, trans fit no problem.. np241 was close to a tight fit but plenty room to run 3" exhaust around it.
Driveshafts have plenty length to them and the angles arent bad at all

That Sammy is going to be badass! I wonder if somehow the GEN 3 engine is easier to fit in than the GEN 1?

Still, The problem I have is I can't fit for grown men into a samurai. I'm 6'4", I used to have a pretty rad 4Runner. That's why I'm gravitating towards the iron pig. It's old and weird like me.

Are you going to put Bobby Longfields in it? I'm worried about your axles with the torque from a V-8.

Well, I guess I should say Berfields. LOL. I think that's how it's spelled.

I'm going to recycle the 5.3 from my swap into a 72' Pinto. Going to put a set of twins on it as well.

Ya know, I've got nothing against a scout.
