what to look for when buying a nnbs?

Make sure it doesn't burn oil! I've put pistons and rings in several. They seem to start burning it around 75K. The people that see the most problems are the ones that use the oil life monitor to change their oil. If it has powertrain warranty you'll get it fixed for free. Trans cooler lines leak a lot also. Might be a colder climate issue though for us here?

That could be using that oil monitor is fing stupid but people still think its good at 50% girlfiend just changed oil in her car today asked how many miles was on last oil change she said 4500. She said was still good at 50% I told her to stop breathing for 10 min thats how ur car will be if u keep driving it like that she didnt get it

so trueTrue I do miss having a beater daily and a nice clean go fast. But money is limited as always but I did find a member here thats in a bind with a nnbs ext cab like I need 4x4 with rear mount turbo cheaper than dealership. I went to local gm dealership havn some sales just nothn I liked or could afford had a 08 ext cab 5.3 95k iles 4x4 for 25k I just told myself why waste that kinda money on overpriced used truck. I just hate to buy at a dealership not knowing original owner what they did to it and if was abused like crazy
It's nothing against the member on here, not even sure who it is, but if you're buying a truck that heavily modded be sure to do a good test drive before you buy it. Make sure the tune is dialed in properly, fuel system is sufficient for the power levels
