I would make sure it's the newers years of the NNBS that comes w the 6L80e. That's about it from what I know and see.

I shoulda researched it more before buying mine w the 60.

IMO, after owning a GMT900, I'd say get you an 06-07C and call it a day. I really wish I would have. I've replaced more **** on this truck than I care to remember. Not to mention the fisher price interiors and jigsaw puzzle dashes. The body work is paper thin (thinner than the 800's) and is easy to damage just by bumping into the bedside with your ***.

Yes, the do LOOK really good, but I'd get something else if I had to do it over, just my honest opinion.

Buying new or used?

Having owned pretty much every cab configuration, in pretty much every body style lol... I would go with a 09+ crew cab with a 6.2 liter (possibly a 5.3 liter if I got a good enough deal).

Assuming you went for a 5.3 liter...
-flex fuel pump, good to ~500hp
-6L80E, good to ~500hp

The newer you buy, the more options you get standard with a LT
-usb port, radio controls on the steering wheel... all standard when I bought my 11' crew LT... not standard when I bought my 09' ext LT
-Z71 appearance package wasn't added until later, assuming you bought a chebby

As far as cab configuration
-crew cab for resale value, unless you need a 6.5' bed
-ext cabs make a lot of noise w/o that middle pillar
-hate the suicide ext cab doors... **** opening your door up to let someone out of the back lol

These are just my opinions... I've owned 7 NBS trucks and 2 NNBS trucks and every time I revert back to a 99-06 truck I find myself thinking wtf did I buy another one of these for (main reason for doing so last time was to have a daily driver + a toy rather than a $30k crew cab that served as my toy and daily... which I regret greatly).

True I do miss having a beater daily and a nice clean go fast. But money is limited as always but I did find a member here thats in a bind with a nnbs ext cab like I need 4x4 with rear mount turbo cheaper than dealership. I went to local gm dealership havn some sales just nothn I liked or could afford had a 08 ext cab 5.3 95k iles 4x4 for 25k I just told myself why waste that kinda money on overpriced used truck. I just hate to buy at a dealership not knowing original owner what they did to it and if was abused like crazy
