Um. 1300lb payload and just as much towing capacity as any other 1/2 ton truck... and that's shitty? Okay...

From what I have read in magazine reviews it was only rated to 5000 lb towing capacity and 800 payload.

Silverado SS on the other hand is rated at 1500 pound payload and 8100 pound towing.

I have used every bit of the towing and payload capacity on my truck.

I just feel a performance truck should still be able to be used as a regular truck.

03/04's were 1300lb payload and whatever you could latch onto with the hitch. Not like they lack power or gearing. Just have to be carefull how you load the trailer. I pulled 7k with mine as low as it is with no issues.

I feel that a performance truck should be faster than the other regular trucks out there. Otherwise it's just a purdy truck with purdy badges and some cladding.
