I work at a chemical plant, started right after high school making $6/hour, liked the stuff and just started busting *** through the years, now im only about 1yr from making top $ there, it pays off if you are really interested in what you do... but now days you got to have a degree to start working at a chemical plant, so I was one of the lucky ones that made it before the rules started changing.... the oil industry pays good $$...
and before I started working there I would say "I would never work at a chemical plant!" since I have seen some explosions and heard alot of story's.... but now that would be the only thing I would really do...

Hell yeah, there's money in the oil business!!! Plant's are our biggest clients!! I work for a lab company that designs, builds, and maintains labs. Right now, I'm in the process of learning different aspects of my company.
I'm 28, started out doing plumbing at 18 making $6/hr digging ditches. I moved on and went through a 5 year apprenticeship doing high-rises, hospitals, and sports arenas. I got my Journeymans license with my Med Gas endorsement and last year got my Masters. I love what I do and it pays well. My current job is real easy, no pressure or stress. I'm going to take more classes to move further ahead.
Find something you like and stick with it. Learn everything you can!!! Knowledge is power!!

i do natural stone restoration for my dads marble and granite company. i used to be a tech for jaguar for a few years, and chrysler for a few before that, but the atmosphere of the dealerships ruined it for me. working on cars for a living sucks. i stil have all my tools and stuff so i can work on **** whenever i want. i love what i do now, i look forward to going to work every morning and i think thats more important than how much you make.

I have no problem introducing a Indian lady to my front bumper because I have a friend who works for dealerships and knows almost every single part of a truck/car and ca get me a replacement bumper for cheap. I hear you on the tight for cash, we could play for parts because I have enough of them sitting in my garage!!!
i would play for parts.... but all i have is a set of edelbrock headers that i still have to weld..

i need an intake.... my truck is waaay to stock!!!
