Default "I'm New, I Don't Know What To Do"

I'm Jack, im working with a 96 silverAdo with a 5.3 swap, livin in missouri near KC. Pretty much made this membership today to hopefully find a set of good used 42lb injectors quickly, but i'm here to stay, i promise im not here to hit it and quit it.

Last dyno tune has my current injectors running at 100+% duty cycle, so if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

and if your wondering i made 337hp and 355tq, for now....

Welcome jack. The classified section is definitely your best bet.

What other mods got you to those power numbers?

I am interested to know what mods you have as well. Depending on what you have done I wonder if 42s are necessary. Is this a gen3 or 4 motor? I am guessing you aren't forced induction however is boost it in your future? What fuel pump? Any idea what injectors you have now? Honestly a larger than stock fuel pump(walbro 255 or AEM320) and any of the the 31-36lbs injectors will be plenty of you are planning on staying NA or running a wet nitrous kit. It is much cheaper to pick up those injectors. TBSS injectors, 8.1L injectors, 6.2 injectors, and the list goes on of other factory injectors which should be plenty for much less money.

Right now ive got a BTR stg 2 turbo cam kit, TBSS intake, 90mm tb, aftermarket fuel rails, -6 supply and return from the pump, and a walboro 255, headers, 3" exhaust, waiting on a circle d 3200 stall converter, and soon to be installing 3.73 gears and a locker. boost is for sure in my future, thats the main reason i want to go to something like the 42lb injectors, mine now are maxed out, i want some room to grow without buying 3-4 sets of injectors along the way, by goal right now is to get to around 500hp to the wheel, after that will be saving up for a well built 4l80e and a big boy converter from circle D.

Thanks for the interest and what ever advice you can give.

With boost and those numbers in mind as a goal you will want something larger than a 42. I'd be looking for a 60.

Can i get away with running 60's with what i have done right now? i was afraid of going to big for an N/A setup. Also where is a good place to get larger truck injectors?

Do most people swap their injector plugs to run ev6 connectors, sense they are more common? i was hoping to stick with the truck injector and not have to run an adapter harness or plug.
