Ok obviously your not going to invest it, and it really sounds like your not interested in putting the money into the 04, so Id go with getting yourself a nice rcsb and DD that for a while untill you get money saved up for a built trans, converter, and FI get all that taken care of and then DD that or the lifted truck, depending on which one isnt broken at the time lol. Just my worthless .02

Mega Millions is up to $81M...go buy 5000 quick picks...you can't lose.

If I had 5K to blow, I'd throw a radix on my truck, no question. Having a second vehicle is nice, but for me, I found that it's just another headache. Keeping up with the payments/maintenance/insurance/gas/etc. on two trucks really puts a strain on the budget to save up for performance parts for either of them. The Tahoe that is in my sig was totaled a few months back and guess what, I have an extra ~$300 a month that I don't have to spend on it.

Don't give the other guys too much hell about offering life lessons. You can probably bet that all of them were in your shoes once and regret not setting some aside for the future. I know I do. Take that 5K and multiply it by 10, give it to a 20 year old guy who likes racing & cool trucks and see how much is left in a few years. I can tell you exactly how much is left. The only advice I will give is if you don't have any health insurance...GET SOME. It's the best investment I ever made.

Well if your not looking for a life lesson. How about you give some more specifics about your truck? How many miles are on it? What mods are currently done to it?

Sure, I love to spend others money.

4.56 gears front and back installed - $1200
true-trac - $500
cam, springs, rods - $500
3000 converter - $600
tune - $250

that leaves around 2 grand for a built trans

On second thought, if it's the truck in your sig, then you might want to consider doing a gear swap. A set of 4.56's or maybe even 4.88's would give it some ***** back and take alot of strain off your tranny.

i would stick it in the bank.
times right now are not very good, and **** is not getting any better.
the price of gas slowly gos up for summer and what happened.
3.5 million barrel surplus and the price is droping a little at the pump.
**** on ebay is not selling for as much as it was, people are backing off in the bid war.
lumber mills are only taking in so much a day because construction slowed way down.
right now it is better to hang on to it then to let it go.
dont be a fool and act like it is burning a hole in your pocket.
