I moved this to the Truck Stop for ya

5K isnt enough to go FI expecially on a lifted truck with big wheels. I'd look for a good depedable beater for a DD myself.

FI is going to be expensive. You'd need a built transmission plus labor costs unless you wanted to do it yourself. You'd probably need closer to $10,000 to do it right.

well i know where i can get a procharger setup for right under 5k
and i can do all the labor on that
and i have a very good connection with a transmission shop

i just dont know wether i want to do all that to the 04 or just buy a single cab short bed and wait till i have more cash and put the fi on the single cab

i would use the money and build everything else in preparation for a procharger and go FI later. built trans, good converter, tru-trac, ls6 cam, lts and full exhaust, wheatley (or equivalent) tune, etc

If you dont already have 6 months worth money to pay all your bills saved up I would save all of it. With the way the job market is anyone can be out of a job at anytime.

I've always told people who ask these kinds of questions to save or invest it. Usually by the time they post a question they've already made up their mind so it is useless to try to convince them otherwise.

Then put it into a 6 month or 1 year CD so you can't touch it. Having money for retirement is fun and isn't a waste of money.
