you know, we don't get any earthquakes, wild fires, hurricanes, mudslides, very few tornadoes, in the state of Michigan, but they use hella salt on the roads. and the economy in MI is the worst country wide too i believe. at this point i'm ready to risk my **** burning up.
btw, how much do the fire fighters make that fight those wild fires?
also, remember a few years ago when they accidently scooped up a scuba diver and dumped him on the forest fires? crazy! i can only imagine what that guy must have been thinking before the chute opended below him...

Ya, people throwing butts out the window pisses me right off. Good job on giving it back, Blownchevy! It really infuriated me when I was diving a fuel tanker! Those people got the highbeams! People just aren't careful enough with fire. Last summer in my town an ember from a farmer's garbage burning barrel blew into some dry grass in the highway ditch, which eventually lit. The smoke blowing across the highway killed visibility enough to cause a 5 car pileup, which my friend's little brother drove right into, killing him instantly.

History repreated itself today! I have photos, I just need to get them on photobucket. It was nice the first half of the day, and then the wind shifted.
Driving up from a friends place in Tustin this morning we got screwed on Highway 57, the Highway patrol had just shut the highway down @ Brea not 10 seconds before we get to the roadblock, I could still see the last of the cars that got to get through - took a 35 minute detour to get back on track.
I'll load up some fire photos in the morning.
