1. Welding in flip flops is bad on so my levels.

2. Resist the urge to scratch your nose when your hands are covered in grease and smelly read end fluid. The smell never goes away.

3. Windex is not a good hand cleaner and it feels awesome on cuts!

I can add to this. Don't spot/tack weld too much with your eyes closed unless you like sunburns on your eyelids.

Also make sure the paint department mixes they're paint right to avoid having to probably sandblast and repaint a complete vacuum tanker...

More to add from yesterday.

When installing new gears.
1. Make a setup bearing for the front pinion bearing, not just the rear.

2. By all means install gears in your garage, on jack stands in 100*+ weather, you will enjoy it.

 

When removing oil pans and trans pans, be sure that your face is directly underneath them and that your mouth is open when you remove that last bolt. I recommend this especially on trans pans, as Dexron tastes better than used motor oil.

 

After zip cutting out pieces to box the frame, remove your welding gloves to break free the boxing plate out of the sheet with your bare office desk job hands LOL.
