Default Thinking about getting something newer. Looking for opinions

I DD a 2000 excsb 5.3 1500 2WD. Has 147,500 miles. Every now and I think I should get something newer.

The up side is this one is paid for and it's in decent shape. I recently had it painted and added an HD hood. The paint quality wasn't the best so I would say 7-8 range. Most of it is stuff you wouldn't notice unless you were in the industry.

The interior is starting to show it's age not to mention I beat the crap out of this truck. But it is still decent overall.

The fact that I have been toying with the Idea of letting it go makes wonder if maybe I should do it now???

I have been looking in the 2005 Range and have found some trucks locally that I have been considering. I like the interior better in the newer 03-07 classic trucks with the Bose package. Most of the ones I am looking at are in the 50,000 - 80,000 range.

Thoughts, Opinions????

I think the VHO has spoiled me. Just don't find many for sale though. Plus I would like to get a little better gas mileage then the VHO since I do some traveling at work.

You want mileage get a compact.
As for trucks I really think an 06-07 classic CCSB would be my DD truck of choice.

No thanks on the compact. I need a truck. But I do in fact get better mileage in the DD then my VHO.

Stay away from the 06-07. The PCM on them are **** especially the 07 classic.

Corey thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware of that.

I found 4 different trucks at 3 different lots. Three 05's and one 04.

Other option would be to go through this truck....

My main concern is work and reliability since I have to travel to customers. I am also looking to get into a house in the near future.
