a semi truck, not their truck but gives you an idea of what to expect, and add driverless technology to that..

I went for a road trip in September.
Visit mom in Texas.
3 provinces, 11 states.
10,000 miles in 3 weeks.
Brought wife and Rottweiler puppy in Tahoe.....
On the 6th of September, we crossed Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and half of Texas.... in 21 HOURS. Try that in a TESLA..
.
Watched the sunset from the south rim of Grand Canyon, Had lunch in Yosemite 18 hours later.
Again, try that in a TESLA, or any electric vehicle.

I totally see your point and I love a Tahoe for sure but its not a good comparison unless there were no gas stations but every 1000 miles. Kinda like trying to run 10's in a Tahoe. Different purpose altogether. I'll take both though. Btw very nice road trip. Had to be awesome!

This is the first released rendering of there "PICK-UP" TRUCK. This is NOT the semi version, and that is a f-150 in the bed.

Lol its a drawing, and not a practical one at that.
Doesnt matter they will be out of buisness or bought by someone soon enough, i love the products, horrible buisness model..

of course its only the originally released drawing of a concept that may or may not ever happen. Personally it looks completely impractical. Those tires look like the bed would have to be 4-5 feet off the ground, or that truck would have to be about 12-14 ft wide. What would you put in there at that height that you would need a bed that big???? Just deflate the air mattress or stand it on its side. To me: its ridiculous looking, based on other prices would probably cost around $200K-$250K, & just SCREAMS, Micropenis, or Hollywood action star past his prime, (if you need any names go watch expendables, and feel free to go right to the credits. You're welcome, I just saved you 2 hrs).

That truck would be too big to drive in the city.... Wondering what they think the range would be.

Tesla recently made some bold claims. They plan to produce the fastest production car on the planet by 2020. 1.9 0-60mph and 8.8 1/4 times with a top speed over 250 mph. 620 miles on a charge seems good to me.

$250k is cheap if they can back up the claims theyre making, compared to equivlant gas or hybrid supercar that would be 7 figures to go that fast.
Still dont think they last long enough to produce it, they are losing money on every car they sell, and make continuous promises they dont keep..
