Default Teslas are fast.

Just watched a 2016 Tesla lay down a 10.99 at the track.

Yea. For not having a combustion engine, they are **** quick.

There is a video floating around youtube of a kid in one shutting down hellcats at the track. Funny as hell.

Tesla's have more in them with dr's or slicks.

That's kinda the whole point, not a combustion engine. Instant full-on torque. Way more efficient than an internal combustion engine.

Don't think I can get on board the electric car train just yet tho..

I got to drive a P85D we had as a demo at work. I would have to describe the instant torque as "roller coaster" like. I was a bit disappointed in the torque steer it had though. It was a bit darty on full throttle standing launches but that thing rips out of the hole.

If they become a great used car value, sign me up.

I'd be scared of crazy battery replacement cost as an older vehicle... who knows.

Plus imagine what it's like to work on one of these, especially out of warranty and with...oh...electrical problems. These aren't simple cars by any means. And not like you're just gonna whup out your Chiltons and knock it out on a lazy afternoon, or push it down the street to your local guy that fixes Teslas in his spare time.
