he lives up in Canada... didnt know if you noticed that or not..
I was working at a medical supply place from when i got off school till 5pm, then go to the gravel pit and worked with my dad till midnight or later.. get back up at 6am and do it all over.. then put in 30+ hours on the weekend.
Then dropped out of college cause it sucked and i stop trying. Was in LAN Communications and hated it. Did learn how to hack and cheat and write computer programs tho.
Worked full time at the medical place then got offered a job traveling for a transformer manufacture doin installs and maintance on them.. gravy job that paid great and worked long hours with never being home.
now im putting in my two weeks at where i work now and starting at a machine/fab shop 3 miles from my house vs driving 70 miles a day.

My tech school was from 6am till 12:45pm then go to work at discount tire from 1:15pm till 6 pm. Sometimes id stay with the boss and a buddy doing inventory til 1 am. At 11 bucks an hour I even bought my truck while at school.

Got a full scholarship for my undergrad. For grad school as I had an assistanship the first year basically grading papers for a couple classes, and for my second year I teach autocad to freshmen/sophomores. Both years paid the cost of tuition and basically $300 a week.

I am in a similar boat, kinda. I have a great full time job that I enjoy very much but also go to school at night. Problem is that sometimes I get stuck at work and end up being late for class. And I'm constantly thiking about work stuff while at school and vice versa. That's very tiring. I would suggest looking for a job that u don't have to think to hard for and have a very set schedule. Here in the states Walmart would be a great choice because they have great health benefits, set schedules, and help pay for school if ur grades are decent. Don't worry about getting rich while in school, your focus should be on getting good grades and more so learning the skill.
FYI I'm 27 and a computer programmer for NYS healthcare and go to a community college. 5 classes away from an associates in Gen Ed. And 4 more after that for a Computer Science degree. It's been a long road both timely and hard work but I want a degree and have to grunt it out. With a baby on the way and a wedding. Things are getting even more crazy lol.
Good luck, bust ***, and get it done.

I am actually finishing up a 2 year degree for automotive technology myself. Basically what everyone else said..find any type of work you can to get by. Finding a job that is related to your field is a bonus. I ended up taking whatever online classes I could so I could work around jobs easier. I was lucky(and blessed) to have parents that helped me out when money was tight. If you have open shop time at the school you can fix peoples vehicles for some extra cash as well. There were plenty of times I wanted to quit and start working full time since most shops only require you have ASE certificates but if you ever want to change fields a degree of any kind will help you greatly.
