20 years ago today one of the best blues guitarists in the world "stevie ray vaughan", was killed in a helicopter crash. no one has come close to the way he played with feeling and heart. sadly the blues, and stevie are being forgotten by some, but for us blues fans he and the genre will never die.

Has it been that long???
Man I love his music, no one else had or has that sound.
I bought the season 1 dvd of East Bound and Down (series on HBO) and in the home screen they start playing one of his songs, makes me wanna just get up and run around like a wild man
A shame he finally beat the drugs and then died. He lives on!!!!!!

SRV is good ****( LITTLE WING FTMFW, love tha song), love all his music. Something about blues is just it.. You need to check out the Brian Lee band. They are big in the south, esp in the louisiana, souther area. Saw them in Key west, must say damn, I was going to stay 20 min to watch them and booze, stayed the entire night..

A legend!! I have followed his music all my guitar playing life, and still rather listen to SRV and double trouble than any main stream music these days. The Man is my Hero, if I could play with 25% of his heart and soul, I would make millions these days. Sad Day When he past, mainly cause I missed it all being to young. I wish there were time machines so we could go back and see a live show.
