Default So who accomplised their truck goals for 2009?

well i personally didnt, all i wanted was to get some patriot LS6 heads on mine and go for that 11sec run n/a this year.... well it didnt happen, too much other stuff got in the way, started to work on my 68 c10, then back in oct. i ended up trading it for a 71 c10 that still needs a little work to get it up and going... then bought a travel trailer in the summer to be able to take the family out and do different stuff... then last month i bought a duramax for DD and as a tow rig.... not to mention i did alot of repairs/upgrades to the house due to hurricane damage... so now its it end of 2009 and like normal, BROKE.!!!! lol... i cant really bitch cause atleast the truck stayed in one piece everytime i drove, i was not easy on it at all.... so i didnt have to throw money at it.... only drove it 3,500 miles this year... never even made it to the track this year, its been since last dec.

so anyone accomplished theirs?

I really had no goals or plans for 2009 but, then this guy on the forum sold me a comp cam 212/218 low lift and thats when it all started lol... thanks AP, I remember when I signed up to the forum I would see a bunch Signatures with a whole lot of mods. that I didnt even know what half of them meant jajaja... now I cant believe I have a full bolt on cammed and stalled truck with a performabuilt trannsmission. I guess this is gonna be it for the Silverbirch I am happy with it the way it is running as my DD hopefully I can get some good numbers at the track soon.

i did. My goal was to succesfully take a ext cab truck into the 12's and still be reliable to drive daily. Well now i have a turbo 6.0 with 7psi and a 4l80 trans that can pull my bike or a boat, i ran a best of 12.77, only taking it to the quarter mile track once(made 4 passes) It will go faster might see some .40's or .50's..............I drove the truck to the coast and to florida since it has been turbo'd and got about 60k on the clock! Next year i will start on a new project......and to say the least i might spend a little more time on ls1tech...... turbo 370 fbody

my goal should be reached by the end of this month. I should be receiving my $8,000 dollar check in the mail in a few weeks for buying my new home this year which will allow me to accomplish my goal of paying off my truck. only owe $4800 on it so it'll be good to have some extra cash

Nothing major broke, I paid it off, and my heat still works, so I'd say it was a success.
