Wink So uh I did the plasti-dip thing..

Being that my hood is finished for the most part, but not final primed/painted, I fig wth. Heard all this goodness about the plasti-dip, so I took a ride to the depot to snag a few cans.. For the most part it is ok.. I have seen vids where the people just sloped it on and it turned out nice( well in the videos) I took my time, cleaned the area, all really nice.. Did about 3 coats evenly.. Has some areas in it that didn't come out as nice as others.. Given it still needs to dry as the directions say 4 hours to dry per coat i do not se it getting better, but the next day mite tell a diff tale.. I think for wheels and small things it would be great, but for a large area like a hood, it is not going to flow out and dry even... Will get some pics up.. Basically wanted to give it a shot, because I am really considering just painting the hood satin black, or even a 2 tone gloss/satin.. That is all

Yeah idk if I would have done an entire hood with it seeing that the pair of wheels I did came out OK.. Being wheels it wasnt a big deal and the main purpose was it covered up some nasty curb rash very nicely

It'd be nice to know if you could clear it while still being able to remove... considering painting the chrome bits on my front end to BLACK OUT!

yah I do not no about clearing it, as it is not a hard like finish, has kinda texture to it.. Also some things you can not clear, it could bubble and be a real pita..

In for pics. You cannot clear coat plastidip. It will not peel off if cleared overtop.
