I worked for a shop in magnolia, and on Saturday, everything seemed to be fine. Just another slow day (as usual) and i worked a 12 hour shift. Well the owner came in about 6:30pm and was talking to the GM while i cleaned. Anyways, i figured that everything was o.k.

Fast forward to today. I drove the 26 mile trip up to the shop, and when i got there there was no cars and the bay doors were closed. I went to the transmission shop next door and asked what happened, and they told me that my shop was shut down saturday night after i left. Apparently our numbers were that bad. To top it off, they didn't even call me to tell me we were shut down.

So now I'm worried that i won't get my last paycheck, which should be about $500. I was supposed to get it this coming up saturday, but i finally got a hold of the GM and he said he would "try" to get me my check on saturday

So I'm pissed about the check and also them not even calling me to tell me. If they don't pay me, what legal actions should i take?

Please give me some ideas

a lawyer will cost more than you check... Sorry to say but i bet your screwed... Go have a few beers, get blown by a hooker (Female or Male your choice, preferrably Female, but i know you roll with Scott so I included Male.....), then get online and look for a new job....
