threaten the GM that if you do not get your money that you will get a lawyer and the bill will be higher if he doesn't pay up
(can have law suit for the money you are owed and the cost of your lawyer.....if the case goes your way)

**** that!! I went through the same **** with Circuit City... i got my last check but the 88hrs of PTO that i had saved up i didnt see a check for that.
Honestly you wont get anything most likely. I would "sneak" in and get your tools or whatever you needed out of there.
Sorry about your luck man! i know how that is and it totally sucks

you dont need a lawyer.
go down to the unemployment office, tell them you wish to file a clame for non payment of wages.
i bet after they make a phone call, you will be told where to go to pick up your check.

yes you can do that..... bot to mention if they do not give you your check they are responsible for paying you any days after the pay period where the check should have been issued. and they should pay you the same wages you would have made each day until you are paid. or at least thats per california law.... but in TX there should be a law similar...
best bet contact local unemployment/EDD office

My sister had to do this once. Put a call in to the department of something and filed a claim. It took several weeks but they finally investigated it enough and she was issued the wages her employer held back.
