So what kind of drop are you getting at 1000 with your .270? What gr. are you shooting?
I would guess a average load is -33" to -37 @ 500 so 1000 should be pretty high.

that does sound like a blast. Like high stakes poker, let the bets keep piling up until the trigger is pulled. And nothing like a steel register at 1K to let you know that you ARE that good.

I would love to see what kind of range I can get out of my 6.8mm Rem SPC.

well im gonna see if i can remember the trajectory....
100 is 4"
200 is 8"
300 is 0
500 is one mil hold over so -18"
700 is 2 mil hold over so -50.4"
i ran out of my good ammo so i loaded some more tonight. Hope the weather is pretty saturday, gonna ease it out to 800 and eventually 1100.

Im shooting a Berger 140gr VLD seated out to engage the riflings .0012" with 59grs of H4831sc and a BR2 primer in R-P brass. It feels so good when it goes off, i have a bruise that hasnt gone away in some time now. Roughly 3000fps, borrowing a chrono this weekend to check it. Flight time at 700 is really quick :-)
