What the ****? I just moved back to Long Island, and I would like to get some more tuning done to the truck. Vette Doctors is right down the road, and they are obviously good at what they do, on top of the fact that the truck is effectively the same foundation as the Vette, yet both times I've called them, they seem indifferent to the fact that I want to give them business. What the ****, is my money not green? I am not bashing their work, I haven't been given the opportunity to see what they do, but damn, I just want a reputable shop to give me a street tune. **** them.

Rant over, on a side note, does anyone know of any good shops on Long Island that I can get some tuning done?

 

vette doctors is scared of the truck platform for some reason and imo im not a fan of their tune, i would personally go with black bear or some other site sponsor

 

agreed...kaltech is another big name out here but another member had a tune from them and wasnt happy...he went and had a live tune from blackbear and made night and day difference...I would say go with a tune for a sponsor here on the site...

BTW...where on LI are you...I take it Nassau?

 

Best thing if you cant get a dyno tune done is get with Justin(blackbear) and have him do a tune for yah.. He sends you the log software, then you email him your log.. I would think it is just as good as a dyno tune..

I had the standard mailorder done before the HC install, after, I had him retune, but all that was really done was an idle adjustment for quality. I am not upset with his tune, I just feel there is power being left on the table, and that a street tune is the way to get it. Unfortunately for me, my pig is AWD, so finding a dyno is a bit of a PITA.

Jake, you got it, Westbury for now, until the woman gets a job, then we'll be looking for a place in suffolk. I forgot to get a hold of you, I go out to Calverton as often as I can, with the AR and the Mossberg, you are welcome to join me to get a feel for the AR if you are still looking.

Cool, sounds like a plan...my friend that is tryin to help me pick one out goes to Calverton as well every other Friday I believe, but I have yet to go with him seeing I gotta work...now all my play money needs to be put into my other truck so now gun funds
