Lightbulb Remote (Hidden) Radar a good idea?

I just scored a Remote Radar off of Ebay. What do you guys think of them? They work well?

I should clarify and say that its a Remote Radar Detector! Not just a Radar, lol!

I had a wireless whistler radar detector, the detector mounted behind the grill, and the laser detector mounted to the window. What I liked most about it was I had it mounted in the overhead console... I dont know if this is the same thing you are talking about, but it looked like part of the truck.

I don't quite know what model it is yet. But I do know that it IS the kind where u mount the radar in the grill and then the detector screen in the cab.

I'm sure the radar detector will work fine in the grill, but just think of it as an antenna. The higher you can get it, the better it will receive a signal. I think that's an FAQ on the Valentine One website.
