Default Rant about party

At work there is a huge influx of people fresh outa college. And most of us all came from just 4 schools so a lot were friends before work. Long story short, things were going very well with a lady there and headed in the right direction fast. Just before we disappeared to finish the night, one of my coworkers/her good friend came up to me and was like I know you are a good guy, but she has a b/f that is a merchant marine and you shouldn't do this. So what do I do, but stick to my stupid morals and stop progress dead in its tracks. I know I probably wasn't the first slip up and won't be the last, but I just couldn't do it knowing she had a b/f.

Nice guys finish last....

I know i'm gonna see her again because all us coworkers do a lot outside of work together and she is good friends with several of them. Thats gonna be a awkward hello.

Also in that night I learned from talking to another guy who jsut got back from being on a ship for 10 months and bought a brand new bmw 335xi, that he can do the 1/4 in 10 seconds and has a sequential manual with the car. The kicker with the manual is that he knew the design difference between the fancy shift your self auto and the real sequential manual yet he still thought he had it. Its bad when you know more about the car than the owner does...

You did the right thing. The last person you want to be is Jody. Jodies are cowards because they wouldn't bang some guys woman when he's home. If you had no clue she had a BF then it's fair game.

You did the right thing. A. if he's a jealous man he'da probably killed you when he found out. B. You wouldn't want dudes bangin your chick while your out dodging bullets.
This is why I told my brother not to get married fresh into the marines. but NOOOOOO.

Sounds like someone needs to tell the boyfriend she's willing to mess around. That aint cool on her part. If she wants to be with other people she should at least let him know. Especially while he's out serving his country.

She got a hold of me today and apologized saying she was sorry about the bf, but that things with them weren't going well and it was a long slow downward spiral. She wants to meet up again to talk and what I'd like to tell her is I'm interested (keeping in mind she doesn't show trends of being loyal) but that I won't do anything until she has things figured out.

i have to agree, from years of exp.
when the cat is away, what the cat does not know will not hurt the cat.
the pussycat gets lonely and wants to play.
it's all fun and games till daddy comes home.
then after some heavy drinking and porking your name happens to spill out.
now a pissed off hunter is looking for his prey.

the really bad part is his job, merchent marine, he can shoot your *** and hop on the next ship out.
while local law looks over the neighborhood for your killer, he is 500, 600,
even a 1000 miles away out of country unloading at a port.
