Yup almost made it to the pump but ran out 30 feet away from the gas pump. I couldn't push the truck cause it was uphill and my truck rolled back. I was pissed. I think I have to change my sending unit. I had to call my Dad for some help. Thanks Dad.

I know huh. I had a pocket full of money too. I was pissed then laughed about it cause what I needed was right there. It's like going to the strip club you can look but can't touch even with a pocket full of money.

 

I agree maybe I should go get the survallence tape and put it on You Tube. I would be called dumbass runs out of gas at a gas station.

 

I once rolled 2 miles to a gas station. I thought I had enough to make it to the next exit, I guess I technically I did, but not still running.

 

I did almost the same thing once. I was on a road trip across country and tried to stretch it to the next town. I knew I was getting low, but thought I could make it anyway. My truck (the old 91 S-10 with 4x8 enclosed trailer in tow) started to sputter about a mile before the exit. I was able to coast off the interstate, through the stop sign (it was a rural area) and with in about 200 feet of the gas pump. Had to borrow a gas can from the station and put a gallon of gas in my truck to get me to the pump,

 

I was climbing a steep incline, I knew there was an exit on the other side of the hill. My truck started sputtering so I ran it up until the governor shut it off at 129 MPH. I then coasted over the crest of the hill, down the other side, down the exit ramp, pulled right into a gas station and up to the pump.

A guy walked up to me and said either I was luckiest guy on earth, or I had the quietest truck he had ever seen.

 

Did the same thing, was about 300 yards from the gas station, started sputtering bad...held it to the floor and coasted about 15 feet from the pump. Two drunk teenagers saw what was happening and ran to help us push...d@mn it was funny

 

This reminds me, i have less than a gallon left in me tank, better leave early for school in the morning!
