Default Questions for People with small children

Ok I have been out of the states for over 10 years.
Wife and I decided it was time for a change and get some much needed vacation time. We have three lovely girls from 5 to 1.
As soon as we land in LAX we are buying a truck of some description.
Possibly a 37 to 30 foot travel trailer.

Since we dont have many trucks here in Oz really dont know what is going to fit us as the girls have to have car seats and boosters.

narrowed it down:

GMC Yukon
GMC 1500 (denali if its worth the money)
Chevy TBSS
Chevy Tahoe

any other suggestions welcomed.
Thanks

Do you plan to pull that trailer with whatever you buy? If so a trailer that size is going to need a 2500hd or a 3500.

Yea for a 30ft trailer I would at least get a 2500hd crew cab.

I have a "06 Tahoe and we have 5 kids. I have pulled a 30 ft camper on flat ground(NE ohio). It gets tight since the a tahoe has no cargo room to speak of. But with two less kids you wouldn't have to worry about it. We have always made it manage and you will have extra room or a camper to store the other stuff in.

I have never "ran out" of room but it has been tight on a few trips. We have never gone out of town for more then a day trip to the water park though.

If I was in your situation I'd be looking for a 3/4 ton Suburban or Yukon XL. Plenty of space and higher tow rating for your house on wheels.

+1 this would be perfect for you. They come with the 6.0/80e so good power and reliability. They are a little rare so. 2500HD might be easier to come by and a crew cab would fit your fan well.

Dodge ram mega cab. Get a cummins. Tons of room, and you will never know that trailer is behind you. Can be had for roughly the same price as SUV's quoted above, with much more tow ability.
