to spec out a truck with only the options you want, and order it directly from the factory?

Like order a single cab WT with a 6.2?

or a Colorado ecsb in wt/ls trim with a 5.3?

back in the day they would do damn near anything you asked......

 

I think you can it just makes it more work on the dealer's end and you would be required to put some money down on it as it would be a custom order. But then again I could be wrong.

Go to your nearest dealership and sit down with a salesman.. tell him what your looking for.. heck make out a list of the goodies..
And wait for him to laugh in your face.. or he might be helpfull and want to help you, who knows.

Not any more... Like the 2004 VHO they had to order like 900 of those things to get the LQ9 6.0 in a 2wd 1500 with out ordering an SS package.

Cant get the 6.2 in a RC truck anyway.

 

ive tried they told me buy the truck then buy the 6.2L crate motor and they will do the swap so it was a new 2011 rcsb gmc @ the time plus 15k up front for engine and swap
