You should take your mirror caps off and paint them. They'll look better. That's what I'm working on now. Also, I have some "adhesive remover" if you need it.

i think i am going to paint the plastic around the chrome mirror cap. the only chrome i will have is the front and rear bumper, bowtie and mirror caps.

yeah i gonna need the adhesive remover. i was going to go to wally world and pick up some goo gone but i heard that doesn't work very well. what kind do you have?

i used gasoline. theres some kinda rubber ball thing that you put on the end of a drill thats suposed to work best. collision people use them alot when they have to pull molding and replace it, and i hear it strips the sticky crap right off

I used water and soap for my emblems but maybe those other things are way better oh I also used this thing for removing tar and bug stains...worked pretty good......what about acetone.....

I used lacquer thinner when I took the emblems off my tailgate and it worked awesome. and no, there was no paint damage done as it wasnt too abrasive!

I have some that is called "New Car Solvent", that I bought from Tex-Brite off of Washington and Durnham in Houston. It is the same as adhesive remover or acresol. It works pretty good.
