how does the cost of the metal roof compare to asphalt shingles? i do like the look but for some reason they haven't really caught on around here. there are a few people with them. we do have hail a few times a year. seems like that type of roof would fill up with dings pretty fast.
Here's the pic of the back corner of the house to give you an idea. They're going to be finishing tomorrow sometime.

Looking good jim, I was talking to kyle(1320vid) a few weeks ago and he said you have been happy and busy working on it. Whats the total cost so far? I just bought a house a few months ago and i have a decent garage but its not big enough so that is going to be one of my next projects along with finishing the basement out. I dont know why but houses and women cost alot more than trucks do. Everytime i buy something i think dang that could have been a new intake, new drag radials ect. list could go on. House mods cost way more than truck mods do and might be more rewarding.
How do you like that pasload? I bought one a few months back when i remodled my kitchen and it worked good but it really has alot of force when nailing. I dont know how many boards i split and keeping the thing clean is a pita.

hell yeah!! that lift goes really high. in that pic it is still about 8' short of how high it will go. 
we are just sticking the basket right in the 'room in an attic' and lifting the trusses up there. it is working well for the small trusses, not sure how well it will work for the bigger trusses especialy after we get a few more up and can't set them from inside the building.

got a lot of plans. lift, lots of lights and power. fridge, bathroom. i plan on finishing off the smaller section super nice. drywall, heat and ac, plumed compresed air, tv and tunes. the larger side will have the lift and thats about all i have planed on that side right now.
