I wonder how fast those pads wore out...I'd actually be surprised if they were still there and not cracked into a million pieces.

I'm sure the pads were destroyed and the caliper was well on its way to cracking if it didnt... I've seen it on a buddies car. Cant remember exactly what it was but he knew they were bad just didnt change them. We were in high school so beer and gas was more important probably! But one side was completely wore off and the other side had several places that were showing through! Replaced the entire thing, rotor, caliper, and pads

I've seen some in close to that condition and the owner just said put it back together cause I can't afford to fix it.

There should be laws against allowing crap like that on the road if a shop sees it.
