Default new motor spun a bearing

i hate life right now. after all of the work to get the heads ready, flycut the pistons, new lifters blah blah blah....the motor spun a bearing after only 5 miles and now i think my #2 intake valve is tapping the piston

BUT, for the 5 miles that i ran it was a beast! the 4200 converter felt great, and the motor felt awesome short shifting at 6500. i really wish i got a chance to see what it felt like shifting 7k rpm.

here was the idle clip i got (before things went south)

this is what i found on the magnet

and here is some 5 mile old oil from the motor!!!

Your fault for putting trans fluid instead of oil. Hope you fix it soon.

Damn Stew, sorry to hear about that, been looking forward to seeing what your new mill can do. FWIW, it sounded badass while it was running!

on a "mail order" tune from wheatley, it felt like it would run circles around the ls1 short shifting at 6500 rpm (set it up conservative on purpose). i wish i got a chance to get a hands on tune with 7k shift points to see how it would really act!

the 4200 circle d converter felt AWESOME. brake stalled 3200, and the shift drop back was right at 1k rpm which is exactly what we wanted it to do to stay above 6k rpm an entire WOT pass. now i gotta figure out if i want to start all over lol.
