I got a new laptop as a graduation present from my parents
Don't have a lot to copy over to it besides music. I know you can plug an ipod into it and it will copy only the purchased songs off your ipod into itunes. Well, I need it to copy ALL OF IT. I copied my music folder over to an external hard drive and then onto the laptop, but itunes said it couldn't find a lot of the songs
Anyone got any better ideas?

If your laptop has windows 7 there is a cool file transfer program in the menu.
I bought a transfer cable from wally world that plugs into the USB port of your old and new computer and easily transferred all my files, including my internet faves and even my old screen saver.
Good luck.

Google some programs... I don't remember the names of them but I've had good luck in the past transferring or recovering libraries.
But thats for the future I guess since you already got it sorted out

I still do tech support for a few customers even though I'm out of the industry now, but I used that 'Windows Easy Transfer' on one computer...biggest piece of **** ever. It takes more time to sort through the trash that it transfers than it would take to just straight up redo the entire installation yourself.
