Default Need some historical info. Mansion related. AMAZING!

This chateau is in France and has random police checks usually 3 times a day. Other then what people are saying about how hard it is to photograph there is no info that I can find on the place. I'd like to know the basics. Who, what, when, where, and why. Thanks. Please comment. Interested to hear what you all think.

Its pretty cool...but why are you so curious about it? And why on earth do they need so much secrecy and security?

Strokin, why police checks 3x / day? Just to keep out strangers? Cause there has to be more to this story I have yet to find out.
Why is is so hard to photog? U mean cause of police or is it lighting inside, etc.?
U taught me somethin today. I did find 1 thing that said don't ask me (the author) what the coordinates to that Chateau are.
The other questions u have, I'd have to dig a tad more. Or "explore".

Slammed96, yes indeed, it's pretty cool. I'll take a shot at this as to why he's so curious about it. To learn more, I had to look up Urbex.
It's the examination of normally unseen or off-limits parts of urban areastat public lacks general access to.

I'm thinkin Strokin is into photography or exploring, maybe both. People like excitement or taboo, & if they can get pics of things that most can not, or get hassled / arrested for, that's a thrill. He might not be that way, & til he says more, this is just speculation. Kinda like how some street racersdo it for the thrill of gettin caught.

Why on earth do they need so much secrecy and security is beyond me, but it likely has some historical & / or monetary significance.

The responses had me laughing. No, I do not plan on going there, for Fcks sake its a long way to go just to have the possibility of spending some time in a French jail. The story's I did find were about the police erasing sim cards and escorting them out of the vicinity. That being said, I assume it has a major historical importance. If going that route, why not collect a fund, clean it up and charge admission. Also as you can see from the pics there are quite a few paintings in the house ($ possibly)

It started when I typed "abandoned houses" into google. I'm just a fan of history. To me it is very interesting that there are houses like these all over the world. It's like people just vanish.

Heres one that is 5 mins down the road from me. Pretty creepy old place that played a big role in the war of 12 and battle of north point.

I am not big into the french folk, but that place seems pretty neat. Going to do some reading on it now. I too like things of this sort. very interesting.
