Default My new little project.

My dad picked up this little 96 Yamaha PW 80 from the guy next door for 20 bucks a few weeks ago, talked him into letting me fix it up. Some one done painted it and its all blisterd, seat it ripped up, chain is rusted up, and the back wheel is bad. So first thing I did tonight was take the seat and all the plastics off. Got the carb off, cleaned it all out and put it back on. I disabled the oil injection and just stuck 110 racin gas with premix for my weed eater in it. 3RD Kick it STARTED!! It idled really high, I messed with the linkage a bit and gave up and went and ate supper. Came back, took the carb off and I forgot to stick a little o-ring in between the carb and intake. Runs like a champ now. Any one know what this little dude fixed up would bring? Once I get it rollin and know that the trans is good, Im debating on stripping it to the frame and painting it a glossy silver and the plastics gloss black.

ah that brings back memories. My old neighbor had one when we were kids. Picked it up from a guy who had it setup for racing for his kid.Nothing too special other then a primitive kill switch and a nice suspension setup.

where at?? The one he had(might have been a newer year then yours) had two kill switches on each side, so the bike would die when it got dumped....very primative by today's standards. lol
