My luck. Some good, some bad. My rant.

Funny story it has happened to me as well! The best thing to do is take the battery out asap. Then you need to dry it out right then and there. In my case I was at the shop and used brake cleaner with some type of electrical cleaner in it. With the use of an air gun I saved mine. It did act a little funny for a couple days but it did survive once it totally dried out. Man it just does not stop for you does it.
You better get that trans installed soon. Billy's converter is here and the trans is waiting on me to put it together. BTW Tom I see you have a little feedback........

I do have a good reason for not being on here lately. My body is takin a beating from not sleeping properly caused I'm stressed w/. how things have been goin for me & spending too much time on PT. I needed to get some rest & I finally did, for once.

Funny guys, Vince & Billy. No, it doesn't stop for me, Vince. Here's the latest. I have a tire, finally.

I went to dyno on Fri., showed up on time like asked, betw. 10-11am. I was there @ 11. Anyway, I had to ask a co-worker to lookup there location again, since I kinda forgot & never had been to the newest locale. I get there & he says it'll be like 2 hrs, cause this guys Procharged TA was in further need of a tune. I think part of the reason was, just like when I hopped on dyno. Dyno was givin him fits, he had upgraded the software for $500 only days before, & had issues for the last wk. He called the dyno maker & wanted to talk to a software engineer. He's been running a dyno for ~10 yrs & this particular one for ~7 yrs., so He knows what goin on. They wouldn't let him talk to software engineer for whatever reason. It was frustrating cause I coulda saved time by not goin if I had my phone to call in advance.

Some good news tho, I learned a few things. 1 is really bad...about my truck. He backed onto dyno, & that's w/in minutes of bein in my truck He says somethin & I wanted to make sure iI heard right. So he repeats it. Told me my truck dog tracks, & he could tell instantly as he backed onto dyno. Front wheels point straight yet truck sits at slight angle. He said it's only 1/4" off & a frame shop can straighten.

He asked if it was ever hit, I said yes in middle of door to middle of boxside. So my frames not straight, even tho repair facility put in on a frame machine!!!
:nunchuk1:I'm kinda
since they had my truck for 2 mos. & now I find out this. This, in addition to paint details I'd not let pass. When I get HD on the road, & tranny in, I'll decide what to do.I'm afraid to trust this GM dealer again. Ya, insurance covered it then, & since this is all related to the accident, it shouldn't cost me anything.
I'm tempted to take it elsewhere, & I'd hate to put my Level 7 in, just to have them beat on it outta spite.

But then that's outta pocket for me, but I want I it right, even if it's only 1/4". I gotta call my insurance agent on MON. & find out what they say on covering frame. Then go from there.
So, no dyno #'s, which is why I went there in 1st place. Ya, it's not his fault, but the software. It still doesn't give me #'s tho.
How's that for news?!? Mostly bad, but a little good. Andddd, if weather cooperates, track on WED. Wonder if I'll run faster?

Oh ya, my o2's are frozen into my hi flow cats. He said it's so short that finding a bung /plug in a pre-cat area for a wideband is hard to come by. So he drilled & put it in cat on right (pass.) side. Advised me to ditch the cats.
So now I can do a w/b at least, eventually.

That's a bummer Tom, sorry to hear that...that T-bone hit has screwed you up a few ways huh
Glad that you finally got your tire though...hope your insurance agent does the right thing or you may have to call on your friend from Jersey to come over there and break some knee caps....

I left out. Where tranny is, my bro wants to close off above garage. He ordered a GlueLam (beam), & wood to do the project. And asked could I help. Yet, I'm not expecting help from him on my project, mainly cause he's so busy workin 2 jobs & since he's kinda big at 5'11" & 280. He doesn't like workin on cars anymore & his gut & huge arms get make it hard for him to manuever under there.
I don't have that prob since I'm a lean machine.
Too bad, cause he's a bull & I almost always learn somethin from him, no matter what it is, auto or otherwise. Kinda important muscling a 60E around. Crate from FLT says 220#. I thought I read that a 60E is ~175#.

Thanks for the update. I was figuring you went postal at the tire shop. You know how package handlers can be!
Makes US mail carriers look like preschoolers!
(In a Soprano's voice) OOHH badda bing huh!!!!
So Billy you want me to build/ship that trans this week. Looks like you could almost win the install race!

It's 176lbs wet with a 300mm factory converter. Sorry I lost myself in the question.

I gotta be close.
