My truck is a 01 stepside 4.8. few small bolt ons. the muffler broke at the neck on a big bump the other day and I need to replace it. Doesn't have to be crazy loud but loud under full throttle is fine. I have a magnaflow on my camaro and it's pretty nice. IDK what to do on the truck though. a magnaflow? dynomax? hooker aerochamber? what would you use?

 

This really depends on the owner lol some like loud, others like quiet. I have a thrush turbo muffler and its good for me, the sound is between a stock and Magnaflow.

The truck is not a daily driver so being alittle bit loud won't bother me lol. I like the magnaflow on my camaro a lot and think the truck would sound good with something similar. Which magnaflow do you guys have? It still has stock manifolds on it btw but that will change eventually.

Only run the big case magnaflow's. 24in casing or bigger... IMO

I have the 30x5x8 on mine
Had the 30x11x8 on my old H/C 5.3 truck and I loved the magnaflow on it.
