Default Moser 5lug conversion...NOT HAPPENIN!!

Just got off the phone with Mike the shop foreman at Moser and they WILL NOT do the 5lug conversion on the factory front hubs and rotors anymore. Called them before I sent mine before I spent the $50 it cost to ship them and was assured that it would be no problem. Now it's a problem. Just FYI.

That sucks, but it is not that big of a deal to, esp if you have some exp doing things like that. A reputable shop should have no prob doing that

The same reason he told Travis(blown06). They don't have a way to chuck it up in the lathe once its welded so they have to use a hand grinder. Told him I didn't mind paying him whatever to make it happen. Wouldn't do because it wasn't professional enough when it left the shop and he couldn't make enough money on it because he would have to take a guy away from making axles, which they make more money on. Basically, more manual labor than its worth for them, even though I said I'd pay it.

He is going to take care of return shipping though.

I kinda figured it was a money thing (couldn't make enuff to justify).
On the + side, u know they care bout their rep cause it won't look professional enuff, so that's encouraging if u do future biz w/. them. Like say, if Tyler needs some 35 or 40 spline axles.

Cool they picked up up return shpg.

I had a friend who is a professional welder weld mine up, since I didn't trust myself not to warp the crap out of them. I drilled and tapped them myself with a CNC'd wheel spacer as a guide.
