The problem I see with this site is that it has no personality. Hands down it has the best information available and many of my questions have been answered. However, there needs to be more than that in order for it to last long term.

I'm a member of about 20 different forums as I'm sure many others are members of multiple forums.

Bodybuilding.com is a prime example. There are over 1 million members and the craziest thing is that most of the posts aren't about bodybuilding. However, there is still plenty of great information to be had on there.

GmFullsize is by far my favorite site. It's because pretty much anything goes. There is a lot of stuff you can get away with, but the best part about it is that many consider it a friendship over there. Yes I know friends have been made on this site, but not near the extent it is over there. There are truck drivers who will stop in various towns and meet up with other members, a damn vest and stuffed animal that gets passed around from member to member(hard to explain unless you are familiar with it). When one guy had cancer people donated money to help him out or sent him cards.

I just don't see that over here. Many think of me as a jackass on this site, I am the first to agree. Am I like that in real life? I'm probably one of the nicest most polite people you'll ever meet, but what fun is that on a forum like this. It gets boring day in and day out being passive and eventually having nothing to talk about. You can hate or love what I have to say, but bottom line is that when I post, someone is going to have a strong opinion(positive or negative) about what I have to say.

I know this post has kind of spun off from the original topic at hand, but with the recent decline in morale around here I would hope something would be done about it.

I also wouldn't be surprised that this thread gets deleted. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that so many threads on here get deleted rather than locked. Many of them include conversations that others would benefit from, and deleting them entirely isn't the way to do it.

I don't care for the immaturity I see on other sites...I never even post over on our sister site for that same reason. I think we have plenty of fun and personality here...maybe it's not what you need, but it works for me.
