Default Looks like I'll be keeping the truck

I priced out a few new Duramaxes yesterday. I'd be looking at a monthly payment between $650 and $950 depending on the length of the loan. I could probably manage that, but it would be way too tight. I think I'm gonna go ahead with my original plan to pull the turbo off the truck and do a TVS2300. Need to do a little more research first, but it's looking pretty good so far.

I miss the instant off-idle boost. Plus, I'm bored and I want to try something new.

Im curious, with a magnacharger, does it make boost when you are cruising on the highway? I am absolutely fed up and discouraged with the lack of low end cruising power/throttle response from my 6 liter.

No, the bypass valve is vacuum actuated and stays open until you start to lay into the throttle.

No FI system will make boost when you're just cruising along. Sounds like you should do some research on the different types before you simply write them off.

Chris, good talking with ya yeaterday. I am totally pleased....super happy with the R1900 TVS, I am sure the R2300 is going to blow you away! I think you are making a good decision, you have a lot of hard work already invested.
