just curious on how most of yall take off in a race. Is it better from 1st or from drive at track or street from a stop. I usually go from 1st,

get your tune set right and leave it in drive - you'll be more consistant and the computer is better at shifting "where you want it to" than you are. the only reason to shift it yourself is if you want to try different shift points, but after you know what you want at WOT adjust it in the tune and let the truck do it

I have never ran it shifting myself, so I leave it in D. Is 3 better than Drive?

3 just prevents it from goin in overdrive, and at wot u wont go into overdrive anyway unless tuned to do so. to shift into forth at wot on a stock tune its like over 200mph before it does so (so its impossible)

I leave it in 3rd. Keeping it in drive often makes you shift into OD when you lift at the end of the 1/4mile. Being in 3rd gear helps to slow the truck down better than being in 4th.
