Guys Im still new to this hobby of throwing money at my truck and Im running outta excuses to tell to the wife, any sugestions?

 

What all have you done? The better mileage/more efficient one should work decently for a while with gas prices the way they are.

 

when the mileage one wore out i just told the truth "i want it to go faster".

 

Alls I got now is a tune, ram air, and a cat back, Im really gonna steer clear of the go faster route because she feels if I wanted somthing fast I should have gotten a fast car stock, not have to modify it. But right now I talking her into a truck mod jar, thats gonna be around 200 a paycheck to go to modding the truck, but its gonna cost a few dozen roses and some fancy resturants.

Dude your my hero, thats a great idea, and all the crap that goes with it is the "install kit" doubble springs, hardned pushrods roler rockers, awesome!

 

Excuses?????? I use the it's my truck, my money reason and it works just fine what, are ya whooped or somthing??

 

Show her how much it cost for a new fast car. She may not say anything more. But then again, you are in an 05 2500hd 6.0 4x4. That probably cost as much, if not more than, a GTO.

 

Since one mod leads to the next.... I sometimes say that the next mod fixes a detail with the last mod- which is actually true! Say you put in a cam thats like a 224/224 or something. Well, naturally it'll drive a lot better if it gets a stall convertor. And of course those 3000 rpm lauches take a toll on the tranny... so you need a shift kit at least... etc, etc, etc... forever! Or at least until you decide it's time for a new vehicle. the the cycle begins anew...

 

I just tell her "Shut up and go mow the lawn!"
