How many use their turn signals?
Seriously, no bullshit.

When do u feel it is necessary or isn't?

It pisses me off when people don't use their signals.
So does it **** u off when others don't?
And if it does, & are u guilty of the same?

Some don't use em when on freeways. In close traffic, I think it's imperative. Like say Cali guys must go nuts. All that traffic & lots of people.

In the city, or on fwy, some never use em.

Some foreigners are terrible bout signals or the big SUV's. Get some little 5' tall foreigner drivin their Nissan Armada or whatever zippin thru traffic, no signals.

If u cut me off & no signal, I'll go apeshit. At least if you're gonna cut me off, if ya signal, I don't get as fiesty.

 

around here they do it all the time, along with just stopping suddenly in the middle of the road to look at something. Pisses me off as well.

 

Haha Yeah it sux man but in Phoenix I always found myself not turning on my turn signal because as soon as i did the person in the other lane would rush and not let me in so I always turned the signal on in mid lane change haha

 

I use them when in traffic, that the space between the cars are less then 2 cars or so.. If the road is clear or traffic is running with 10 car spaces, I do not use them.. By my self on the road, single lane, 2 way lanes, I usually do not use them unless there is a vehicle that is or could be affected with me using or not using them... On the bike, I use both hand and lighted sigs, but only if traffic is like I just said... One thing that pisses me off is when idiots do not look down and realize they have had a blinker on for a hour.. I would say people just need to use common sense, but that is few and far between today with all the fukn douchers out on the roads..

 

In rush hour traffic, NO, all it is, is a signal for them to floor it and close the gap so I cant get over. In regular traffic yes, and if Im pulling a trailer yes. So times when pulling a trailer they use the blinker as a signal to floor it to but a little wag of the wheel making the trailer fender swing over usually clears the lane pretty quick for me

 

Sudden stops? Ohh sweet.

We always get rubber neckers (gawkers) too. Like when there's an accident on FWY on the opposite side. What does what's goin on over there have to do w/. this side? Nothin. Just keep drivin people!!!

John < 2 car lengths is ~40' !!! At speed?!? If you're doin 60, that's 88' /sec.
You ain't stoppin & neither are others w/. that kinda time allowance.
Plus, most people take ~1/4 sec r/t, so factor than reaction distance in as well.

John, when on Hog, I use both hand & signals. Ya need every advantage to be seen on a bike.

I know what y'all are sayin how the gap closes, if ya signal when u want that lane. It's almost as bad as the DB that signals turn 10' before a turn. At that point, does it really matter???
On some hooptie missin brake lites or signal(s) I try to stay vigilant, & expect it if they have some lites out. But a new vehicle? If a new ride, & your window is down, & u look clueless when u do somethin stupid, I don't finger, but there's a good chance I'll call ya out.

 

What I am saying is when there is not much room in between cars I will use them.. Where in theee hell did you get stopping at?? I think I made it clear for you...I am talking about driving..

 

Stoppin comes into play if they wanna jack w/. you when u tuck behind someone. Or in the event of a panic stop. Not enuff gap = potential rear ender. And not your kind. Clear enuff?!?

 

Like I said common sense, but it appears you might fall into that other category

Hate it when people don't. I always use my signals, only times I might not are real late at night for changing one lane over, thats it. Every other time with any cars around I flick em on. It's really not any effort at all to not **** off everyone else and stay safe in the process...
