well i get a letter sayin ive been called up for jury duty this year..not saying that i will but im on the list to get called up..
is there any way i can get out of this? i work with my dad in the oild field, can i just say what we do is a two man operation and if im not there he cannot work and he looses money and the business he owns looses money too..my dad had to do it several years ago and got paid 20 bucks a day..i cannot afford gas in my truck to even drive to the courthouse for 20 bucks

Call the court, I don't think you can just get out of it. I was called for it back in college, I got out of it because I was a student and attending classes out of that county. I was called for it last year and didn't get selected after showing up. I just showed up and donated my $25 to charity when I left an hour later.

 

If it's out of your county then you don't have to go. My parents get selected quite often and since we're right on the county line(literally). They don't have to do it.

 

im in the cocunty..guess i kinda need to read the letter for myself..my mom got in yesterday at her house and she told me last night which made my night even better..came home gfs dog had the trash all over the house. bitched at the gf got in a big fight, broke everything on the counters i could reach, punched a cabinet, hurt my hand, went to the laundry mat and forgot soap and then my mom called and told me that..then i came home and spent an hour and a half pickin up glass all over the house..rant over
